Plants need sunlight to grow and stay healthy. They use a special process called photosynthesis to make their own food. During this process, plants take in water from the ground and carbon dioxide from the air. Then, they turn these ingredients into sugar and oxygen. This amazing cycle helps plants thrive and provides fresh air for us to breathe. Without this natural energy source, life on Earth would be very different.
