Plants need sunlight to grow and stay healthy. They use a special process called photosynthesis to make their own food. During this process, plants take in water from the soil and carbon dioxide from the air. Then, they turn these ingredients into energy and oxygen. This amazing cycle helps plants thrive and provides fresh air for humans. Without this natural ability, life on Earth would be very difficult.
